What is Gourmet at home?

Gourmet at home is your “online local delicatessen” offering a wide range of gourmet and every day food. We deliver to your door via our logistic partner DHL or using our own temperature controlled vehicles.

How does it work?

Get registered, choose what you want and place your order. Then your goods will be delivered next working day, although it could take 2-3 working days depending of your location and when you ordered. Our cut off time is 16:00pm for next day deliveries.

Where does Gourmet at home deliver?

Gourmet at home currently delivers to select areas in London with our own vehicles and nationwide with our logistics partner DHL. (Unfortunately, we don’t deliver to Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland)

When can I order?

Whenever you want our shop is 24h open.

Personal Details

How do I update my details?

To update your contact details, log in to your account, tap the profile icon in the top right menu, then tap the edit account icon.


How do I sign up for or opt out of marketing communications?

Tap the profile icon in the top right menu, then tap on “Newsletters”. You can subscribe or unsubscribe from our communications. That simple.

Can I have my orders delivered to a different address?

Of course. You can use any address. In your profile, you can also add or remove an address in ‘Address book’.

Ordering

What type of products can I buy?

At Gourmet at home, we sell over 500 products, from Michelin start quality ingredients to every day foods, cheeses, cured meats, extra virgin olive oil, to seafood and preserves.


What’s the minimum spend?

There is no minimum spend.

Are there any delivery charges?

At gourmet at home, we ship all our orders over £60 free of charge. If an order doesn’t reach £60 there is a £7.99 delivery charge.

How many items can I order?

As many as you wish.

What if a product I ordered is out of stock?

At Gourmet at home we only list items that are in stock although it eventually could happen that a product is temporary out of stock and should be shown in our web as “out of stock”.

What if there’s an issue with my order?

Get in touch with our brilliant support team. We’ll endeavor to short the issue out and put a smile back on your face.

How do I use a coupon code?

At the checkout, tap ‘Use coupon”, type the coupon code you have and ta-daaaah!

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most of cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, JCB, cryptocurrencies are too volatile unfortunately.

How do I add a card to my account?

We do not store your card details. We apologize that you have to type it on every purchase, but currently we consider is better like that.

Can I pay with a card that’s not in my name?

You can pay with credit or debit cards that you can verify correctly.

Do you charge for the packaging?

We don’t charge for preparing and packing your order. When possible, we try to re-use card boxes from our warehouse, we help reducing waste and keep our prices low.

Deliveries

How can I check if my postcode is in your London postcodes area?

If your postcode is not listed, then means you will be delivered by our DHL logistic partner.

What if my postcode is near the London postcodes but is not in the list?

Please send us an email to let us know and we will see if we can add your address to our London delivery areas. We are constantly growing.

How do you deliver?

We use our temperature-controlled vans for our London postcodes customers and DHL as our logistic partner for all nationwide customers.

I live in a London selected postcode; how do I track my order?

Once your order is loaded in our vans, you should receive an email to let you know that your order is on the way. We aim to deliver our London customer from 7:30am until 13:00pm. Monday to Friday.

I am out of your London delivery area; how do I track my order?

Once your order is picked from our warehouse by our Logistic partner DHL, you will receive an email with a tracking number and a txt message to you mobile (if you have provided us with a mobile number). There you can track the status of your order.

Once I receive the notification from DHL, how long will take my parcel to arrive?

We send all our orders with DHL next day delivery, so you should receive it in the next 24hours. Being realistic no one can 100% guarantee a next day delivery as there are so many unforeseen circumstances that can interfere so your order should not take more than 48hours. Currently since January 2021, at 07-02-2021, our logistic partner DHL has successfully delivered next day nationwide the 100% of our orders.

Do I have to be in? Can my courier leave my delivery in a safe place?

If you think that you may miss the delivery, please provide us with instruction of alternative delivery location when doing the checkout. A simple “leave it at the porch”, leave with right door neighbor”, “leave with neighbor up or downstairs” is very helpful.

Coronavirus

Is delivery contact-free?

We currently deliver orders contact-free wherever possible. Couriers will ring the doorbell, wait for you to come to your side of the door and will put the shopping on your doorstep. Say a quick hello through the door to let them know you’re there ready to accept the contact-free delivery.

What health and safety measures are you taking to protect your colleagues and customers from Coronavirus?

We’re very strict when it comes to the health of our couriers and customers. People are put first here at Gourmet at home. Couriers are required to wear masks while making deliveries. Warehouses are routinely cleaned and disinfected. Couriers and warehouse operators will self-isolate if they test positive for Coronavirus. Needless to say, we still pay our awesome workers while they’re isolating.

I am self-isolating. Can you still deliver to me?

First of all, get better soon! Yes, our delivery is contact-free, so our couriers will drop off your order at your doorstep during delivery. Just give them a shout from your side of the door to let them know you’re there. We hope your order makes self-isolation a little more bearable.
